God's Masterpiece Part 2 – The Fall
Yahweh (another name for God) had lifted up Michael the archangel and empowered him to overthrow Lucifer. Lucifer saw this as a deep humiliation and was filled with wrath against Yahweh. He watched as God created the earth and filled it with beauty and order.
Yahweh, the Lord God, had spoken everything into existence and all of nature following the sound of His voice evolved to achieve their preordained place in the music of creation. Everything was ordered, everything had a place and purpose and everything was good.
The Lord God, Yahweh then made creatures most like himself, capable of knowing Him like the angels but limited in fleshly bodies. They were given the privilege of being co-creators with Yahweh and thus, He made them in His image and likeness. He made a covenant with them, called them His children and loved them as such.
Since Lucifer couldn’t do anything to hurt God, in his anger, hatred and spiteful pride he decided to destroy God’s beloved children. In this way he sought to cause pain and suffering for Yahweh. He had watched as God created Adam and Eve, and his anger burned even more hot as he saw the special place in creation that was given to them. The woman Eve was the wife of Adam the first Priest-King ordained to have authority and mastery over the earth. Lucifer thought Eve must be the woman who would be the Queen of Heaven. He despised her and chose to go after her to corrupt and ruin her.
Lucifer slowly broke down the man and woman’s understanding of Yahweh until they thought of the Lord God as a tyrant who was jealous of His children, and in this way tempted them into rebellion against God. They too, like Lucifer, the ancient serpent, tried to place themselves in the place of God and thus fell into their ruin.
Yahweh, the Lord God who knew everything and had seen this happen was anguished. After the fall, the Lord God cursed the Serpent, the ancient dragon Nahash, who was Lucifer. He also punished and enacted the covenant curses on Adam and Eve, but for his beloved children, there was redemption hidden in their sentence.
"I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your seed and her seed;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel."
And thus, the serpent was again confronted with the certainty of the Woman and her Son who would crush his head.
Lucifer, the serpent, spent millenia terrified and looking for the Woman who would bear his Creator. He corrupted, scattered and caused division among the sons of Adam and daughters of Eve.
